Golden Wedding Surprise

In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. N. Hendrix, near Poland, friends and relatives gathered at their home Sunday, July 26, to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. At noon a bountiful dinner was served on a large table in the front yard. Mr. and Mrs. Hendrix have lived in this community most of their married life. Mr. Hendrix is 69 years old and Mrs. Hendrix is 71. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Hendrix, Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Schroer and daughter, Opal, Rev. and Mrs. C. L. Pritchard, Mr. and Mrs. Dora Pritchard, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Cline, Mr. and Mrs. Will Reiter, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Shoppell and sons, Roy and Gene, Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Ahlemeyer, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Amers and daughter, Betty Jean, Mr. and [error] Geo. Amers, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Leohr and daughter, Lola, Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Sendmeyer and children, Mr. and Mrs. James [remainder of information not available].
