James W. Hendricks

SPENCER -- James W. Hendricks, 74, of R. 1, Spencer, died Tuesday [11 Jun 1985] at the Bloomington hospital.

Born Jan. 12, 1911, in Arcola, Ill., he was the son of Ola B. and Emma (Burch) Hendricks. He was a retired farmer and had also been employed by Stangers Auto Sales and Breeden's Shell Station. He was a member of the Spencer Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eva M. (Cantrell) Hendricks of R. 1, Spencer; seven daughters, Barbara McCullough of R. 2, Spencer, Lois Stanger of R. 1, Lyons, Peggy Fulk of Spencer, Donna Minnick of Freedom, Marilyn Baumgartner of Ellettsville, Carolyn McHenry of R. 2, Gosport, and Debbie Hutchison of R. 1, Freedom; one son, Ronald Hendricks of Freedom; one sister, Pearl Bayne of Bloomington; two brothers, Darrell Hendricks of Spencer, and Walter Hendricks of R. 1, Solsberry; 28 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, three sisters and one brother.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at West and Parrish Funeral Home. The Rev. Louis D. Crouch will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until services Friday at the funeral home.
