Mary Benham Comer
JUNE 3, 1924 -- NOV. 14, 2007

LYONS -- Mary Benham Comer, 83, of Lyons, died 2:33 p.m. Wednesday at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Born June 3, 1924, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of George Luther and Harriet (Adams) Hyde. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lyons Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie L. Tieman and her husband, Hershel, of Bloomington, and Diann (Benham) Puckett of Lyons; four sisters, Frances Donaldson of Indianapolis, Ruth Denny, Georgia Waterford and Norma Headley, all of Bloomington; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold I. Benham, in 1969; her second husband, James M. Comer, in 1993; one son, George I. Benham; three brothers, Claude Hyde, Paul Hyde and Ross Hyde; and one sister, Maude Pritchett. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons, with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
