Parke County Atlas

Please be sure to thank Mike Kollar who donated the Atlas for use on this website.

History:  There are two names written inside the front cover of this atlas - C. E. Lambert and Howard L. Hancock.  Howard Hancock was a well known lawyer and later a judge in Parke county.  You can learn more about him from his obituary posted elsewhere on this site.  C. E. is Charles Edward Lambert whose occupation is listed as "Abstracts, Loans, Real Estate and Insurance" in the atlas. Both men are living on Howard Street on the 1920 census - just a few doors apart.

This is a work in progress, so do check back for more entries. The title page is missing, but it appears the Atlas was published about 1908. The only other page that appears to be missing (#9) had the plat map for Rockville.  Due to the size and fragility of the book I have not been able to scan the pages, so these are digital photo images. Some of the files are large and may take a while to download, but I wanted to provide as high resolution as possible.   If you are unable to download any item, just let me know and I can send you a smaller version via email.  James D.
