• Bloomingdale Academy

 -  from the personal family album of my great grandfather Seth Gordon Hastings.   He served as Principal of Bloomingdale Academy during the 1869-70 and 1870-71 school years. 

After he resigned the school hired his brother to replace him (in his memoir he only mentions him as “Brother” in that context but it’s almost certainly Aaron Healy Hastings).

While serving as Principal of the academy he fell in love with and married Edith Towell (my great-grandmother), from near Harveysburg, who was a student at the Academy
