Lough, Henry, Harrison: Civil War in this township died at his home on Howard Street about 7 on Sunday morning. Mr. Lough was the son of George Washington and Katherine Carter Lough and was born in Parke County Oct 8, 1843, being at the time of his death 87 years 9 months and 11 days. He was one of a family of 11 all of whom have preceded him in death. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Union Army in Co. I, 31st Indiana Volunteers and served 3 years and a half.  He fought in the Battles of Shiloh; Chattanooga; Lookout Mountain and was with Sherman in his March to the Sea. Mr. Lough spent his entire life in and near Waveland. Per Waveland Independent 7-24-1931.
