VanDerMark Rockville Tribune, June 24, 1931 “Four girls who work at Turkey Run Inn were slightly injured Monday night when the Ford car in which they were driving overturned on the Dailey Hill about three miles north of Clinton on State Road 41. Marie Allen suffered a broken arm and is in the Vermilion County Hospital at Clinton. The other three girls, Cleah Newlin, Kathleen Thompson, and Beulah Zuck escaped with bruises. All of the girls live near Marshall. It was said that the girls were on their way to Terre Haute to a show when the slippery condition of the pavement caused the car to overturn.”
