Hannah Louise Provence Gill

Hannah Louise Provence married Andrew Jackson Gill in Pulaski County, KY. in 1877.
 
Hannah Louise Provence Gill is the daughter of Thomas Provence and Lousie Lee, she was born in August 23, 1848 Lee County, VA.
 
Andrew Jackson Gill, her husband born June 6 1855; he was the second child born to James Monroe Gill and Synthia Ann Thompson Gill in Pulaski County, KY.
 
Andrew and Hannah Gill migrated from Pulaski County, KY with their children to Montezuma, IN in the late 1890's seeking work.
 
(Note:It is well documented in the Somerset, KY. newspaper Pulaski County, KY. of residents moving to the Parke County, IN. area. It is also noted on the WW I draft registration index listed here on this website for registrants places of birth.)

* James Madison Gill born July 30, 1877 Pulaski County, KY.
    James married Fannie Wineland Sept. 7, 1898 in Parke County and had three children, Otto Herman Gill, Paul and Pauline Gill (twins)
    Fannie was born July 7, 1874 and passed July 23, 1942 Montezuma, IN. buried in Oakland Cemetery Montezuma, IN.
    James Madison Gill passed Sept. 28, 1948 in Indianapolis IN. Buried in Washington Park Cemetery.
 
* John Green Gill born Dec. 6, 1879 Pulaski County, KY.
    John married Erma Fritz March 5, 1904 Indianapolis, IN.
    John passed abt 1971 <still searching>
 
* Mary Margaret Gill born about 1881 Pulaski County, KY.
    Mary married Amos Riley Craft Sept. 28, 1898 in Parke County. Amos was born August 1, 1877 Parke County, IN.
    Amos passed about July 14, 1964 Berrien Springs, MI buried Rose Hill Cemetery.
    Mary passed May 30, 1962 Berrien Springs, MI.

* Jesse William Gill born Nov. 6, 1885 Pulaski County, KY.
    Jesse married Amanda Ellen Garner Nov. 9, 1910 in Holton, (Jackson County) Kansas. Amanda passed Feb. 26, 1968.
    Jesse W. passed May 30, 1970 Berrien Springs, MI. both are buried Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs, MI.

* Laura Bell Gill (Kemp) born March 17, 1888 Pulaski County, KY.
    Laura married Dora D. Kemp Nov. 2 1908 Indianapolis IN.
    Laura passed Oct. 1981 ?? Vigo County, IN. <still searching>

* Eliza Ellen Gill (McDaniel) born June 6, 1890 Pulaski County, KY.
    Eliza married Paul Fisk McDaniel July 21, 1909 Indianapolis, IN. Paul died May 15, 1968 and buried in Rockville, IN.
    Eliza passed abt 1921 <still searching>
 
Andrew and Hannah moved to Indianapolis from Montezuma in the early 1900's. Andrew Jackson Gill was killed in a railroad accident  March 12, 1909 Indianapolis, IN. Hannah later passed in Indianapolis December 7, 1916.
