            Received from Michael Wilkins, Franklin Co In. the sum of 295 dollars & 70 cents being in full for the W frac of the SW qr of section No. 19 in township 16 N of range No. 8 West containing 118.28 acres at the rate of $2.50 per acre.  $295.70

                                                                        November 9th 1824

            It is hereby certified, That, in pursuance of Law, Michael Wilkins of Franklin County Indiana on this day purchased of the Register of the Land Office at Crawfordsville the Lot or West Fraction of the South West quarter of Section number Nineteen in township number Sixteen North of Range number Eight west containing 118 acres and 28 hundredths, at the rate of Two Dollars and fifty cents per acre, amounting to 295 Dollars and 70 Cents, for which the said Michael Wilkins has made payment in full as required by law:

            Now Therefore be it known, That, on presentation of this Certificate to the Commissioner of the General Land Office, the said Michael Wilkins shall be entitled to receive a Patent for the Lot above described.

                       THE UNITED STATE OF AMERICA

                TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING

            Whereas Michael Wilkins of Franklin County, Indiana has deposited in the General Land Office of the United States, a certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Crawfordsville, Indiana whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Michael Wilkins according to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th of April, 1820, entitled "An act making further provision of the sale of the Public Lands," for The west fraction of the south west quarter of section nineteen, in Township sixteen north, of Range eight west, in the District of Terre Haute of State of Indiana, containing one hundred & eighteen acres & twenty eight hundredths of an acre according to the official plat of the survey of the said lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General, which said tract has been purchased by the said Michael Wilkins.

 

 

NOW KNOW YE, That the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA, in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the several acts of Congress, in such case made and provided, have Given and Granted, and, by these presents do give and grant, unto the said Michael Wilkins and to his heirs the said tract above described: To Have and to Hold the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances, of whatsoever nature, thereto belonging, unto the said Michael Wilkins and his heirs and assigns forever.

            In testimony whereof, I John Quincy Adams President of the United States of America,m have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

            Given under my hand, at the City of Washington, the fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight and twenty five, and of the Independence of the United States the forty ninth
