This Indenture Witnesseth that George Wilkins and Eliza Wilkins, his wife, in consideration of Six hundred dollars to them paid by Wm B. Erwin, do hereby sell and convey to the said Wm B. Erwin, his heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate in Parke County and State of Indiana; The South East qt of the South East qt of Section thirteen T. seventeen North of R. eight West, containing forty acres be the same more or less together with all the privileges belonging, the grantors their heirs and assigns hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assigns that the title so conveyed is clear and unencumbered and that they will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever.  In Witness whereof the said grantors have hereto set their hands and seals this 16th day of May 1864.

   Before me John Woody, a justice of the peace of said county, came George Wilkins and Eliza Wilkins, his wife, and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed be their voluntary act.
