This Indenture Witnesseth, That Alexander H
Lee and Jane Lee his wife of Parke County in the State of Indiana convey and
warrant to George Wilkins of Parke County in the State of Indiana for the sum
of Two thousand and fifty Dollars the following Real Estate, in Parke County in
the State of Indiana, to-wit part of the West half of the North West quarter of
Section twelve (12) Township No sixteen (16) North Range Eight (8) West
containing twenty three and one half (23 50/100) acres more or less. and
described as follows towit, commencing at the NW corner of W1/2 Nw1/4 of Sect
12 T. 16 R. 8 W thence S on Sec line 68 3/4 poles, thence E to a corner 421/4
poles, which is the beginning of the land intended to be herein conveyed,
thence from said corner N 19 rods and 4 links thence East 19 rods and 4 links
thence S 19 rods and 4 links, thence West 19 rods and 4 links to the beginning
corner of this tract of land containing about 2 50/100 acres more or less. Also commencing at a point which is S 68 3/4
poles from NW corner of said half quarter thence E 81 poles and 12 links to the
line between the E and W halves of said ?, thence
south on grid line 44 1/4 poles, thence W 81 poles and 12 links to the sec line
on W side of said ?, thence N 44 1/4 poles to place of the beginning. Except the following commencing S3 1/2 poles
S of the SE corner of said tract and following thence North 5 1/2 poles, thence
W 8 1/2 poles, thence South 5 1/2 poles, thence 8 1/2 poles to the place of the
beginning containing 1/4 acre more or less.
