I am looking for information on the Figgins and Taylor families from the early 1800s. I have the names of Lewis Figgins and Daniel Figgins as well as Seaton Taylor and Daniel Taylor. Thank you.

I have learned that I have an ancestor named Alford M. Tate whose spouse's name was Annie Bland. They lived in Perry Co. Indiana in the mid-eighteen hundreds, probably 1825 -1880. They were the parents of my great-grandfather Milton M. Tate who was born in 1855. I do not know if they they lived in a town or on a farm, I am thinking the later.
My great-grandfather settled in Kentucky where he married my great-grandmother Sallie Miller in 1877. They lived most of their early married years in Sample, KY, a small community near Stephensport, KY on the Ohio River. They had four sons and two daughters.
If you can find any information on these folks lives I would be very greatful. It was only recently that I learned that Grandpa's father's name was Alford and that he lived in Perry Co., IN. We had thought for many years that he was a native of Indiana, but we didn't know where. As a late teen, the rumor is that he was a laborer on riverboats that were prevalent on the Ohio, Mississippi, and other Rivers in those days.

I am new to genealogy and am trying to find information on my wife's gg grandparents, who resided in Perry County. John J. and Malinda Tate, who I found in the 1870 Indiana census for Tobin (?) Township (Rome Post Office). Can you please tell me if there is any way to find more information about them and how I might go about it. Were there directories or anything biographical for Perry County residents? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
