Helen Corinne Murphy, 89, of New Harmony, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at the Charles Ford Memorial Home in New Harmony where she had lived since 2003.

Helen was born June 8, 1923 in New Harmony, to Clarence and Cora Belle (Hunter) Streamer.

Helen is survived by her sister, Betty Fisher of New Harmony; nephews, nieces; and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 64 years, Ellison E. Murphy in 2003; children, James Ellison and Thelma Jean; brother, Pearce Everett Streamer; and a sister, Imogene O'Dell.

Funeral service is Thursday, Sept. 20, 2 p.m. at Werry Funeral Home-Poseyville Chapel, with the Rev. Mary Hurley officiating. Burial will be in the Stewartsville Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
