Evelyn E. Nottingham, 95, of Poseyville, Indiana, born to Olaf and Lela (Creek) Almon on February 8, 1918, in Gibson County near Poseyville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Owensville Convalescent Center in Owensville, Indiana.

She graduated from Stewartsville High School in 1936 and was a Polio survivor from which she contracted the disease at the age of 30. She was a member of the Black River General Baptist Church until its’ closing and was its’ Secretary for 16 years. She was also a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Poseyville, Indiana. She enjoyed quilting and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Surviving are her children: John (Mickey) Nottingham, Nancy (Don) Straw and Steven (Maggie) Nottingham all of Poseyville, Indiana; daughter-in-law: Becky Nottingham of Poseyville, Indiana; sisters: Alma Ruth Kincheloe of Poseyville, Indiana and Mary Frances Crowe of Ocala, Florida; 10 grandchildren: Sayelle (Don) Rexing of Evansville, Indiana, Justin (Jenn) Nottingham of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Megan (Lucas) Rosbottom of Avon, Indiana, Tom (Teresa) Nottingham of Jasper, Indiana, Scott (Lori) Nottingham of Evansville, Indiana, Andy Nottingham of Poseyville, Indiana, Rodney (Rhealynn) Straw of Poseyville, Indiana, Tonya (Tim) Dike of Owensville, Indiana, Nicholas Nottingham of Poseyville, Indiana and Natalie Nottingham of Poseyville, Indiana; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Dellas R. Nottingham in 1980; son: Charles Nottingham in 1994 and a great grandchild: Taylor R. Dike.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Werry Funeral Home, Poseyville Chapel with burial in the Poseyville Cemetery. Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
