Laretta E. (Brown) Bambei, 90, died at 7:11 PM, Friday, July 19, 2013, in Deaconess Hospital Hospice Center, Evansville, Indiana.

Laretta was born February 24, 1923 the daughter of James Harvey and Lillian Blanche Brown in Evansville, Indiana.

Surviving Laretta is a son: John H. Bambei, Jr. (Marie) of Arvada, Colorado, two grandsons: Sean Bambei (Casey) of Westminster, Colorado and Scot Bambei (Jennifera) of Orlando, Florida, along with three Great Grandsons: Joel, Jaxon and Jarret Bambei, three Great Granddaughters: Makena, Kailee and Kamryn Bambei, two brothers: Curtis Brown of Kimball, Nebraska and Harry “Mack” Brown of Evansville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: John Bambei, Sr., a son: Jack Bambei and her siblings: Elsie Hobbs, Lillian Bender, James Brown, Jr. and Bert Brown

Laretta graduated from Central High School, belonged to Johnson United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sterling Easter Star Chapter #68, Sterling, Colorado.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 29, 2013 at Johnson United Methodist Church in New Harmony, Indiana with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in New Harmony, Indiana.

Friends may call from 9:00 AM until service time at the church Monday, July 29, 2013.
