MRS ARNIE ADAMS

Mrs. Arnie Adams, 44, wife of Freeman Adams and with her husband a former Mt. Vernon resident, died early Thursday (19 Jan 1956) at Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville after a long illness.  The Adamses resided on R. R. 4, Mill Road, Evansville.

The body is at the Alexander Funeral Home in Evansville where Rev. Robert C. Holmes will conduct the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Alexander chapel.  Burial will follow in Bellefontaine cemetery at Mt. Vernon.

Surviving, in addition to the husband who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Adams, of near Mt. Vernon, are three daughters, Donna, Ann and Glenna, all at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Barker, Gilbert, W. Va; two sisters, Mrs Opal Mullens, Charleston,, W  Va., and Mrs. Virginia Young, Columbus, Ohio, and a brother, Carmen Barker, North Carolina.

Mrs Adams was a member of Salem Methodist Church and the Parent-Teacher Association of German Township school in Vanderburgh County.
