ENOCH ALLDREDGE

Enoch Alldredge, 63, of 1010 West Second street, a life-long resident of Posey county an employee of Bucyrus - Erie in Evansville for a number of years, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday (12 Jul 1955) at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

 

A year's illness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis that in its closing stages produced a bulbar paralysis was fatal.

 

The deceased was a representative of early Posey county families.  His parents were Sherman Alldredge and Sarah Peerman Alldredge.

 

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home and will remain there through the funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday in the Weisinger chapel.  Rev. Ernest Hopper, pastor of Church of the Nazarene, will conduct the services.  Burial will be in Beech Grove cemetery.

 

Surviving are the wife, nee Addie Dickens; three sons, Lilburn, Jeffersonville, Ind., and Hubert D., and Kenneth, Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Ally, Evansville; three brothers, George and Walter, Mt. Vernon, and Clinton, Jeffersonville, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Nora Burnett, Maunie, Ill.
