MT VERNON - - Mark H. Allen 40, was found dead in his garage early
Thursday. The Posey County coroner said his death was a suicide.
Coroner David Jeffries said Allen died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
He was port manager of Southwind
Maritime Center, president of Inland River Ports Terminal Association and
served on the transportation safety and advisory committee.
He was a member of the Elks, Western Hills Country Club, Petroleum
Club, Channel 9, and the US Coast Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Ll; a
daughter, Miss Cory Ann Allen and a son, Matthew A, both of
Services were 1 p.m. Sunday at Norvell
Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.
