ANSON ALANSON ALLYN

1860-1916

A Good Citizen at Rest.

Alanson Allyn, a prominent farmer of this county, died Sunday (13 Feb 1916) night at his home near Bufkin, his death being due to paralysis.

About four years ago Mr. Allyn while sitting on a chair at his home apparently in the best of health, suddenly fell from the same, his fall being caused by a paralytic stroke, since which time he has been as helpless as a babe. His entire body with the exception of his head and neck was affected, and although unable to move a single limb his health was excellent. During these long years he never left a chair and his death no doubt was a relief to him.

He was 57 years old and besides the widow is survived by four sons and two daughters. His funeral occurred from the Miller church, Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Interment in the Miller (Mount Pleasant) Cemetery."
