IMOGENE ALLYN
Imogene Allyn, 56, of
She had been executive secretary to Mount Vernon Mayor Jackson
Higgins for 18 years, but had retired recently because of ill health.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Posey County
Democrat Women's Club, and the American Legion Owen Dunn Post No. 5 auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, M. Lee; a daughter, Dana Allyn of Mount Vernon; two sons, Kevin Allyn
of Mt. Vernon and Dr. Steven Allyn of Springfield,
Mo; two brothers, Bill Hall and Arthur Hall, both of Mount Vernon; a sister,
Juanita Story of Mt. Vernon, Ill; and five grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at Norvell
Funeral Home with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church.
