WILLIAM E (ED) AUSLEY

William E (Ed) Ausley 76, a life-long resident of South Posey county and Mt. Vernon, died unexpectedly in his sleep sometime last night at his home in the rear of the William DeKemper resident at 414 W. Second street.

 

The Dekempers found the lifeless body this morning when they investigated after noticing that a light in the Ausley home was burning.  Mr. Ausley resided alone.

 

The deceased was for many years an employ of the former Charles Smith Jr. & Sons building materials firm.

 

The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral Home and funeral arrangements are pending.  (Buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery.)

 

Surviving are four daughters Mrs. William S. Heath, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Paul Schneider, Kennan Wis., Mrs Joseph Golghly, Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Mrs. John Knefel, St. Louis; two son, M⁄Sgt, Lilburn Ausley, U.S. Army, stationed in Japan, and William E. Ausley, Jr., Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Clifford Walls, Mt. Vernon.
