RUTH HAGAR BALDWIN

Rites on Monday of Mrs. Baldwin:

 

Mrs,. Ruth Hagar Baldwin, 41, RR 3, Mt. Vernon, wife of Freddie

Baldwin, a farmer, died at 4 am today at her home on Copperline Rd.,

west of IN 69.

 

She was a former employee of the garment factory in Mt. Vernon and had

been in failing health for a year. She returned to her home Friday

after seven weeks hospitalization in Evansville.

 

Mrs. Baldwin was a member of Bethsadia General Baptist Church at Savah.

Visitation hours will begin at 3 pm Sunday at Tygart Funeral Home. The

funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday at Tygart Chapel with burial

following in Orange Grove Cemetery near New Haven, IL.

 

The Rev. Norman Clayton, former Bethsadia pastor, will officiate.

Surviving, in addition to the husband, are three children, Debra, 12,

Danny, 7, and Dedra 6; a sister, Mrs. Mary Norrington, RR 1, New

Harmony, an employee of Tresslar's in Mt. Vernon, and two half-sisters,

Mrs. Helen Faulkner, Muncie, IN, and Mrs. Ada Mills, Long Beach, CA. A

daughter, Rita Ann, died at birth.

 

The deceased was a native of Glezen in Pike Co., IN., a daughter of

Alonzo and Carrie Taylor Hagar. She came to Mt. Vernon shortly after

marriage 24 years ago.
