Services for James H. Barr, 46, of St. Wendel were conducted at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, continued at 10 at St. Wendel  Catholic Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Barr died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday (22 May 1977) at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

The deceased was maintenance supervisor at DeJongs in Lawndale, Previously had been employed by Western Union.

A well-known musician, he played guitar with his band in the Tri County area.  He was a member of the musician's union and St. Wendel Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Antoinette Neumann; sons, Eugene and Wayne, both at home; a daughter, Karen at home; brothers, Clifton of Tampa; and Elmer of Durand, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Sisk of Evansville; nieces and nephews.
