MINNIE BASLER

Miss Minnie Basler, 71, former well-known Mt. Vernon resident, died at 6:15 o'clock Wednesday (10 Aug 1955) afternoon in Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville.

 

The deceased had spent the greater part of her life in this city.  About two years ago she moved to Evansville and during the greater part of her residence there resided at the Protestant Old Folks Home.

 

Miss Basler was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church of Mt. Vernon and also a member of the Ladies Aid of the church.  During her many years' residence in Mt. Vernon she became well-known as a saleslady for the former Rosenbaum Bros. Department Store.

 

Near surviving relatives are two brothes, Frank Basler of Indianapolis and Charles Basler of Mt. Vernon.  A number of nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and two great - great nieces and nephews also survive.

 

The body is at the Alexander Funeral Home in Evansville where friends may call after 6 o'clock this evening.

 

Funeral arrangements are incomplete but burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery at Mt. Vernon
