Philip Batchelor, 31, Winslow miner died at the Methodist hospital shortly before noon today of injuries received in an accident last week.

 

Mr. Batchelor was injured just almost exactly a week before he died, the accident occurring about 11 o'clock last Tuesday morning.  A heavy cable broke loose in some way at the Electric Shovel corporation mine in Pike county where he was employed and struck him on the neck, frittering the neck.

 

Mr. Batchelor was rushed to the hospital here by ambulance immediately after the accident and had been in a critical condition since that time.  Funeral arrangements have not been made.
