PETERSBURG Aug 2 - Mrs. Lucy Battles, widow of Rollin
Battles died at 2 o'clock Thursday (1 Aug 1940)
afternoon at the home hospital here.
Surviving is a son Charles Battles, this city.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at Pleasant Ridge Baptist
church the Rev. Verner Preston officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Harris funeral home until time for the
funeral.
