James K. Blake, 71, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday (3 Mar 1988) at his home in Indianapolis.

 

He retired in 1981 from the automotive business and had been an Exxon service station dealer in Indianapolis.

 

He was a member of Meadowdale United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Evansville Scottish Rite and Evansville Chapter No. 555 of the Order of the Eastern Star and had served as a master of the Evansville Masonic Lodge No. 64.

 

Surviving are his wife, Arleta G.; a daughter, Norma Harden of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mildred B. Blake of Wadesville and Anna D. Lewis of New Harmony; three brothers, Ralph of Newburgh, Dr. Albert Blake of Indianapolis and Charles A. of Evansville; and two grand children.

 

Services were Monday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
