Linus E. Blankenberger, 65, of Cynthiana, died at 5:57 a.m. Sunday Dec 15 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

 

He had worked at Blankenberger Brothers, Inc., and excavating and contracting company until retiring in 1983.

 

He was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John.

 

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor, four daughters, Jackie Johnston of Mt. Vernon, Beck Hephnar of Indianapolis, Nancy Barron of South Lyon, Mich., and Susan Wilson of New Harmony five son's Steven and Donald both of EVansville, patrick of Poseyville, David and Rickie, both of Cynthiana; a sister, Henrietta Weinzapfel of Evansville; five brothers, Cletus of Evansville, Adolpha of Haubstadt, Sylvan of Kokomo, Joseph and Vernon both of Cynthiana and 11 grandchildren.

 

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ziemer Funeral Home West., continued at 10 a.m. at St. Wendel Catholic Church, the Rev. Raymond Schroering officiating, with burial in St. Wendel Church Cemetery.
