CORA BOKELMAN

Mrs. Cora Bokelman, 84, wife of William H. Bokelman and a highly respected Posey county resident, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at her home on R. R. 1, Mt. Vernon.  She had been seriously ill for the past week.

 

Mrs. Bokelman was born in Lynn township, the daughter of Andrew and Katherine Lynn Alexander.  She was a devout member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church.

 

Near surviving relatives are the husband; three sons, A.C. Bokelman of Washington, Ken and William D and Norman Bokelman at home; four daughters, Mrs. Francis S. Hubert of Clio, Mich; Mrs. G. B. Lill of Chicago, and Miss Selma Bokelman and Miss Cora Bokelman at home; a brother, Andrew Alexander of Commerce, Mo; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

 

The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home and friends may call there after 4 p.m. Saturday.

 

Funeral service will be conducted at the Short-Niehaus chapel at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.
