Mrs Ina Boyle Dies Suddenly

What came as a great shock to this community was the sudden death Saturday afternoon of Mrs. Ina Boyle, wife of Joseph Boyle, who lives south of Cynthiana.

 

Her very sudden death casts a gloom over the community and the family have the deepest sympathy in their great bereavement.

 

The funeral was held Monday morning at the Mt. Pleasant Church in charge of Rev. L. H. Graham, pastor of the Poseyville Christian Church.  Interment in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

 

OBITUARY

Ina Bell Smith, oldest daughter of Elizabeth and James R. Smith was born January 21, 1876 and departed this life March 1, 1930 at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 8 days.

 

In the year 1896 she united and was baptized in the Regular Baptist Church of Cynthiana.

 

After graduating from the Cynthiana school she taught in the school nine years, one year in the Griffin school and two years in the Poseyville school.

 

On April 29, 1906 she was united in marriage to Joseph Boyle.  To this union was born two children, Byron who died in infancy and Irma.

 

She was a lovable companion an most affectionate mother; always ready to sacrifice for those she loved.

 

Besides the companion, she leaves the daughter, Mrs. Irma Chaney, of Terre Haute, a step-son, Frank Boyle, of Poseyville, a heart broken mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills, of Cynthiana, two sisters, Mrs. Boyd Denius, of Roanoke, Indiana and Mrs. Doris Marvel, Cynthiana, and one brother, Herschell Smith, Evansville, Indiana, besides a host of relatives and friends.

 

A voice we loved is stilled;

A place is vacant in our home

Which never can be filled
