EMIL R BRETZ

 

56, of Cynthiana Ind., died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 1986, at Welborn Hospital.

 

He owned Bretz hardware Store in Cynthiana and had worked for 17 years at Sears.

 

He was president of the Cynthiana Chamber of Commerce and Mount Vernon Coliseum Board.  He was a past president and charter member of the Armstrong Recreation Center.

 

He graduated from Memorial High School in 1949 and attended Resurrection Catholic Church.

 

He was a Korean War veteran.

 

Surviving are his wife, JoAnn; two daughters, Rebecca Eckels of Evansville and Lori A. Wassmer of Poseyville, Ind; three sons, patrick E., of Wadesville, Ind; Timothy J., of Evansville and David A., of Cynthiana; four sisters Henrietta Work, Ardella Ellison, Lovenia Osborn and Virginia Miller, all of Evansville; a brother, John of Maitland, Fla; and nine grandchildren.

 

Services were Friday at Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel, continued at 10 at Resurrection Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. .
