ELLA BRINCKMANN

Mrs Ella Brinckmann, who would have been 92 years old next Sunday, grandmother of Mrs. William Espencheid, Jr. Mt Vernon, died early Monday (3 Sep 1945) in an Evansville nursing home.

 

She had made her home with her grandmother and family for almost three years coming to Mt. Vernon from Michigan City, In., her alert mind and her warm genial affection for humanity endeared her to her adopted community.

 

The deceased's husband, Robert Brinckmann, a Michigan City grocer, died in 1916.

 

Mrs. Brinckmann entered an Evansville hospital from the Espencheid home on July 19.  Since leaving the hospital she had resided in an Evansville nursing home.

 

The body has been moved from Weisinger Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon to Hummer Funeral Home at Michigan City.  The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hummer chapel.  Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery at Michigan City.

 

Surviving are three sons, Arthur, Hammond, Ind.; Leonard, Milwaukee, and Carl, Angola, Ind; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, John and Louis Pitch, Michigan City, and Charles Pitch, Salem, Ore; and two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Harbert and Mrs J. G. Schuster, Michigan City.
