Mrs. Catherine Bundren, 53, died at 5:40 o'clock Sunday (4 Jul 1954) afternoon at her home, 430 Pearl street. She became ill earlier in the
afternoon while visiting a daughter, Mrs. James Schaeffer, a patient in an Evansville hospital. After receiving
treatment in the hospital she returned to her home here where death occurred
shortly afterwards.
Near surviving relatives are five daughters, Mrs. Schaeffer, Mrs. George Schneicker, Mc Leansboro, Ill., Mrs. Emily Bunner,
Evansville, Mrs. Hallie
Reynolds, Sturgis, Ky and Mrs. Jesse Tron,
Mt. Vernon; a son Guy Bunren
R. R. 1, Mt. Vernon, a brother, Edward Roberts, Evansville and 11 grandchildren.
The deceased was born in Posey county and was a member
of the Church of God Mission, Second and Mill streets, Mt. Vernon.
The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home and will
remain there until 8 o'clock Wednesday morning when it will be removed to the church to lie in
state until the funeral hour at 10:30 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. Frank Turner
will officiate and burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elzie Cox, Burley Holland, Clifford
Huntsman, George Alldredge, Paul Turner and William Nesler.
