FRANCES MAYBELLE WILLIAMS BURNETT

Mrs. Frances Maybelle Williams Burnett, 89, widow of Henry C Burnett and a native of Enfield, Ill, who spent many years of her married life in Mt. Vernon died recently at the home of her son George A. Burnett in Gary, Ind.  Funeral rites and burial were at Gary.

 

Mrs. George A Burnett's mother died suddenly on September 12.

 

Henry C Burnett, husband of the late deceased, was a former Mt. Vernon police officer.  After his death Mrs. Burnett moved from Mt Vernon to St. Louis.

 

Surviving are three sons, George A., a realtor in Gary, Eugene W; an Erir Railroad Co superintendent in New Orleans for the last 33 years and Elmer C. a former Mt. Vernon baker who resides in Columbus Ohio, and is in poor health and five grandchildren and one great grandchild.  A sister, Mrs. Dora Alice Williams Sloat, died two years ago.  Nieces and nephews surviving Mrs. Burnett include Mrs. Arthur G. Schreiber, R. R.1; Rev Lee Sloat, Evansville, Earl H. Sloat, Miami, Fla and Mrs. Mildred Lehnhard, San Francisco.
