YOUNG MOTHER IS FATALLY STRICKEN

Mrs. Dorothy Ann DeFur Carr, 27, wife of Herbert R. Carr and a lovely young mother of two children who spent the greater part of her life in her native Mt. Vernon died early last night at Findlay Ohio.

She had been acutely ill of a cerebral tumor for only two weeks. A cerebral hemorrhage produced death. Mrs. J. Willard Hurly, Mt. Vernon, mother of Mrs. Carr was summoned to Findlay several days ago by her daughter's illness.

The body will reach the Weisinger Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon late today. Funeral services have been set tentatively for Thursday, although definite arrangements await the arrival of the body.

Mrs. Carr was the daughter of the late Dale DeFur, of the DeFur Paint Store of Mt. Vernon. Mr Carr, the husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarene Carr, Mt. Vernon.

Surviving, in addition to the husband and mother, are two daughters, Carolyn Sue, 4 and Sally Ann 1; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly De Fur, Mt. Vernon, and a brother Ronald DeFur, Indianapolis a student in Butler University.

Mrs. Carr was active in First Methodist church in Mt. Vernon prior to the departure of herself and husband from Mt. Vernon to reside in Attica, Ind, from where they moved to Findlay, Ohio last summer. Mr. Carr is employed as an accountant by the Ohio Oil Company. Prior to their marriage both were employees of the petroleum department of Indiana Farm Bureau Co-Op at its refinery here.

The deceased was graduated from Mt. Vernon High school in 1943. She is a member of Gamma Psi chapter of Tri Kappa, Mt. Vernon.
