MRS ALICE ANN CONLIN   (abt 1872 – abt 1957)

 

85, a life-long Posey county resident died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at her home at 1015 East Water street where she and a daughter Miss Irene Conlin resided.  She had been ill for three years of a complication of diseases and seriously ill the last month.

 

The deceased was the widow of Frank Conlin, a well known Point township farmer who died in 1933.

 

Mrs Conlin, a native of Point township, was a daughter of Robert F. Lewis and Elizabeth VanZant Lewis.

 

The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home where the funereal service will be conducted in Weisinger chapel at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.  Burial will be in Conlin (aka Rowe) cemetery in Point township.  Rev. Floyd Stephens, pastor of South Mt. Vernon Methodist Parish, will conduct the services.  Mrs. Conlin was a member of Farmers Chapel ?? the parish.

 

Surviving in addition to the daughter, Irene, are two other daughters, Mrs. Della Duley, R. R. 5, and Mrs. Floyd J. Cox, Mt. Vernon; a son, Weaver Conlin, St. Louis, and nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
