DONALD M CORSETTE

Donald M. Corsette, 57, a resident of the Bufkin vicinity in Posey county in 1944-46 and a linotype operator and newspaper production manager for many years died Monday (14 Oct 1957) in a Texarkana, Tex. hospital.

 

He and his family had resided in Texarkana for several years and Mr. Corsette had been overall mechanical superintendent for a chain of 12 newspapers in Texas and Arkansas owned by the Texarkana Newspapers, Ind.

 

Announcement of his death was received locally by a sister, Mrs. Herschel Millspaugh, Bufkin.

 

Funeral and burial services will be at Texarkana.

 

During his Posey county residence, the deceased engaged in poultry raising.  For a short time he was employed as a linotype operator by The Mt. Vernon Democrat and held similar positions on other newspapers of this area.

 

Prior to residence in Texas, the Corsette family resided in Florida.

 

Surviving are the wife; four married  daughters, Betty, Shirley, Virginia and Beverly; two sons, Donald, Jr., and Richie both in the U.S. Navy; two sisters, Mrs. Millspaugh, Bufkin, and Mrs. Ed Ball, Chevy Chase, Md., and a brother, Ralph. Fort Smith, Ark.
