ALEEDA LUCILLE DEMPERSMEIER

MOUNT VERNON - Aleeda Lucille Dempersmeier, age 92, passed away January 18, 2007, at the Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

 

She was born December 22, 1914, in Rockport, Ind., daughter of the late John and Katie (Egli) Oschman. She was a homemaker and had worked at Penguin Pointe and was co-owner of the North Main Drive Inn and had retired from Dairy Queen.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Tafil F. Dempersmeier in 1968; four brothers, Edgar, Orrow, Delbert, and Marvin Oschman; and a sister, Elnora Rumble.

 

Surviving her are her son, Vernon Dempersmeier and his wife Sue of Mount Vernon, Ind.; four grandchildren, Connie Scheller and her husband Bill of Mt. Vernon, Julie Dempersmeier of Cincinnati, Jon Dempersmeier and wife Celeste of Seymour, Tenn., and Jo Young and her husband Ralph of New Harmony, Ind.; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Glenna Chaplin of Mount Vernon.

 

Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007, at St. John's Bufkin Cemetery. Schneider Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Aleeda requests there are to be no floral offerings or memorial donations.
