CAROL FAYE DURELL

MOUNT VERNON - Carol Faye Durell, age 63, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at her home.

 

She was born July 15, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Oscar Paul and Juanita B. (Wann) Reynolds.

 

She had worked as a Nursing assistant and has worked in a sewing factory. She was a member of the Mount Vernon General Baptist Church, the Siam Club and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Patty Reynolds and Donna Reed.

 

Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Claude T. Durell, of Mount Vernon, Ind.; one daughter Juanita J. Roth, of Idaho; a stepdaughter, Peggy S. Durell of Mount Vernon, Ind.; one sister, E. Jean Strachan and husband, Fernando Valenzuela, of Vinadelmar, Chile, and one brother, William Reynolds and his wife, Shirley, of Olivet, Ill.; son-in-law, Tony Roth, of Mount Vernon, Ind.; a brother-in-law of Glenn Reed, of Danville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Jaunita "Brook" Roth and Matthew Craig Roth, two stepgrandchildren, Amber Lynn Miles and Kenneth William Durell; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Ind. Rev. Matt Watson officiating with burial at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, Ill. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at the funeral home.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
