1957 Obit
Mrs. Ella Smith Galladay, a member of a
pioneer Posey county family
who was nearing her 100th birthday, died on July 25 at Reseda,
CA,
relatives here have been advised.
Mrs. Galladay had been an invalid as the
result of a hip fracture in
recent years, but her alert mentality had not
been impaired.
She was born
Smith and Mary Ann Patterson Smith, Lynn Township pioneers. She
was the
last of her generation.
The late John W. Smith and Anna Lamb of
Township were brother and sister of the deceased.
As a young woman, the deceased taught school in Posey county.
Funeral and
burial services were at Reseda.
