MARK GOTT

Mark Gott, 85, Harrisburg, Ill., a native of White county, Ill., who resided for a number of years in West Black township in Posey county in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma McGhee who is now Mrs. Emma Hendrickson of Beath, N.D. died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday in Harrisburg hospital.

 

Mrs. William Dieterle, Burfkin is a maternal granddaughter of the deceased.

 

The body will be taken from a Harrisburg Funeral Home to Big Prairie Church in White county, Ill. and will lie in state there from 12 o'clock noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.  The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church and burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Mt. Gott came to Posey county in 1930.  He had lived in Harrisburg the last 10  years with another daughter, Mrs. Jack Brooks.  His illness dated from a stroke in May 1956.

 

Surviving, in addition to the daughter, Mrs. Hendrickson and Mrs. Brooke, are two other daughters, Mrs. Hylas McGhee, Emma, Ill, and Mrs. W. E. Jackson, Texas; two sons, Ray and George, Harrisburg, Ill., and nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
