GOTTLIEB E GRABERT

Gottlieb E Grabert 58, energetic farmer residing on R. R. 1, Mt. Vernon, died suddenly at his home at 4:15 p.m. Monday (16 Jan 1956) after feeding his livestock.

 

A chronic coronary condition resulted in his death.  Mr. Grabert had been treated for the ailment for several years.

 

Member of a prominent, respected South Posey county family, the deceased had spent his entire life in the Mt. Vernon community.  He was a son of Fritz Grabert and Louisa K. Willman Grabert.

 

The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home.  It will remain there through the funeral service set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Short-Niehaus chapel.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.  The officiating clergyman will be Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church.

 

Mr. Grabert had been a member of Trinity Church since boyhood.

 

Surviving are the wife, the former Alice Dickhaut; a son, Kenneth G. Grabert, R. R. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Ervin Renschler, Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, and a brother, Albert C. Grabert, R. R. 1.
