GRACE SANDERS GREEN

Mrs. Grace Sanders Green, 68, wife of James Lemuel Green, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday at her home in Oliver.

 

Death came as she was preparing to enter an Evansville hospital after a four day acute illness of a coronary condition with which she had been afflicted for five years.

 

Mrs Green was a representative of early Posey county families.  Her parents were George W. Sanders and Sophia Tennison Sanders.  She was a member of Mt. Zion General Baptist Church of near Oliver.

 

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home where friends may call after 7:30 o'clock this evening.  It will remain in Weisinger chapel until removal to Mt. Zion Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday.  Officiating ministers will be Rev. Lawrence Rader, Evansville, a former Mt. Zion Church pastor, and Rev. John Kell, Oakland City.  Burial will be in Laurel Hill cemetery near Wadesville.

 

Surviving in addition to the husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Lancewell McCarty, Evansville; a son, Herschel E Green, Oliver; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Campbell, R. R. 1, Wadesville, Mrs. George Anderson, Davis, Fla., and Mrs. Brady Crabtree Poseyville, and a brother, Homer Sanders, R. R. 1, Wadesville.
