MAURINE E HANCOCK

Mrs. Maurine E. Hancock, 49, wife of Homer Hancock, died at 12:25 a.m. today at her home at 527 W. Second street.  She had been ill for four years and critically ill for the last six months.

 

She was a native of Emma, Ill., a daughter of Ranklin and Sarah A Franklin Chastain.

 

Her church affiliation was with the Mt. Vernon Church of the Nazarene.

 

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.

 

Rev. Ernest E. Hopper, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene will conduct the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Weisinger chapel.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

Surviving, in addition to the husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Jean Fieber, Junction City, Ill; a son, James M. Hancock. U. S. Air Force, Chanute Field, Ill; three grandchildren; the father, Ranklin Chastain, Emma, Ill; four sisters, Mrs. Virgil Yeida, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Cleta Indell, Chicago, Mrs. Zola Driggers, Grayville.; and Mrs. Lovenia Darnell, Evansville, and a brother, George A Chastain, Mt. Vernon.
