CARL HAUPTMANN

Carl Hauptmann, a successful real estate broker and grocer in Harrisburg, Ill., who as a boy resided in the Mt. Vernon vicinity, died Monday (18 Mar 1957) in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, a Harrisburg news dispatch said today.

The body has been moved to Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.

Hauptmann resided as a youngster in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Stauber west of Mt. Vernon and attended rural schools of that locality.
