Mrs. Edna Heath Holler, 65, Mt. Vernon, widow of Charles Holler, a Bufkin community truck farmer who died 12 years ago,
succumbed to a series of paralytic strokes extending over many years at 6:20 a.m. today at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.
Mrs. Holler, a native of Wayne county, Ill., but a resident of South Posey county
and Mt. Vernon most of her life, had been bedfast for
the last 10 months. She entered the hospital two weeks ago from the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Louis E. Linder, 220 W. Fifth St.
The body is at the Weisinger Funeral
Home and will remain there through the funeral service set for 2 p.m. Friday in the Weisinger
chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery at Bufkin.
Officiating clergymen will be Rev. Arthur Blackburn, a retired General
Baptist minister, and Rev. C. E. Terrell, pastor of Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member.
Surviving are
four daughters, Mrs. Linder and Mrs. Alvin Daws, Mt.
Vernon, and Mrs. William Spillman and Mrs. W. J.
Nance, Evansville; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Stevens and
Mrs. Wendalenous Kester, of
near Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Otis Tennison, California,
and four brothers, Rev. Raymond Heath, Burbank, Calif,
and William, Howard and Allen Heath of Mt. Vernon and vicinity.
