Kaffenberger, Mary Martha (Ames)  

GRIFFITH - Mary Martha (Ames) Kaffenberger passed away on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at her home in Griffith, Ind.

Mary Martha was born on Oct. 11, 1931. Mary Martha attended Memorial High School, but graduated from Carmi High School in 1949. Mary Martha was an employee of Mead Johnson while living in Evansville and was a secretary for the Carmi Times. She married Frank Kaffenberger on Dec. 28, 1956. Mary Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, November 2005, her parents, Edna (Ewers) and Douglas Ames Sr., and her brother, Douglas Ames Jr.

Mary Martha is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth Rone and her son-in-law Jeff; granddaughter, Kate; sisters, Cathy Ames, of Evansville and Chloe Ann Hamblin, of Herrin, Ill.; a brother, Stephen Ames and sister-in-law, Barbara, of Christiansburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Roseanna Ames, of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at St. James The Less Catholic Church in Griffith, Ind.
