LURLIE JONES KLASER

Mrs. Lurlie Jones Klaser, 63, Evansville, widow of Oscar Klaser and a native of Mt. Vernon, died suddenly in Evansville at 3:30 P.M.

 

 Mrs. Klaser, whose husband a brickmason, died last August, was stricken with an attack of chronic heart disease while shopping in downtown Evansville.  She died in an ambulance in route to a hospital.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday evening.  A brief service at the Ted Ziemer Fountain Terrace Chapel at 8:30 a.m. Thursday will be followed by Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Evansville of which the deceased was a member.  Mrs. Klaser was also a member of the Alter society and Legion of Mary of Holy Spirit Church.

 

The deceased was born in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of Oscr and Ella Jones.  Following Oscar Jones’ death his widow married Peter Denninger.  The late deceased had resided in Evansville since 1910.  

 

Survivors include two sisters in Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Bertice Coker, and Mrs. John R. Deusner; two brothers, Dan and Oscar Jones, Evansville; two nieces, Shirley Jones and Kathaleen Jone, Evansville, and two nephews, O.T. Jones, Evansville and James Robert Miller, Mt. Vernon, a U.S. Navy veteran who resided with his aunt.  Mrs. Klaser, during his attendance of Evansville college.
