Lilburn W. Knight, 49, of
5726 Delor street, St. Louis, a representative of two prominent South Posey county families died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (25 Nov 1954) in Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis.

He had been ill for the last six weeks as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage and seriously ill, for the three weeks preceding death on the holiday.

He was a 30 year employee of Bell Telephone Co., in the
St. Louis area and was a "trouble shooter" for the communications company.

Following graduation from Mt. Vernon High School in 1923, Mr. Knight married Martha Eloise Causey; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth L. Causey, former Lynn township residents and now of Mt. Vernon, and they moved to St. Louis where they had resided since.

The deceased was a son of Harvey Knight and Augusta Blackburn Knight and was born and reared in the Bufkin vicinity.  The father is deceased and the mother resides in
St. Louis.

The funeral service will be conducted at
10 a.m. Monday in the Weisinger chapel by Rev. Lawrence Rager, pastor of Mt. Zion General Baptist Church near Oliver.  Burial will be in Old Beech cemetery in East Lynn township.

Surviving in addition to the wife and mother, are a daughter,, Mrs. Sidney Rodenberg, Philadelphia; an infant granddaughter, Nancy Lee Rodenberg; a brother, Earl Knight, St. Louis, and a sister, Mrs. Homer Ziegler, St. Louis.
