LAURA JENKINS KRUSE

Mrs. Laura Jenkins Kruse, 73, of 11 59 Putnam street, Evansville, a former Mt. Vernon resident, died at 5:45 today at the home of her daughters Mrs. Arthur Seuta, 2808 S. Weinbach ave., Evansville.

 

Mrs. Kruse resided in Mt. Vernon rom 1912 to 1952.  She was a native of Hardin county, Ill. the daughter of Abraham Hogan and Mary Hodges Hogan.

 

Illness of three months that had been serious for the last six weeks precede death.

 

The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon where friends may call after ? o'clock this evening.  Rev. Samuel K. Childress, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene of Mt. Vernon will conduct the funeral service at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Weisinger chapel.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

Mrs. Kruse was a member of Progress camp ( Mt. Vernon) Royal Neighbors of America.

 

Surviving are a son Lacey Corvin, Wichita, Kans; two daughters, Mrs. James Halcomb, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Seutz, Evansville, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Pearl Turner, Mt. Vernon; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; two brothers and a half brother, Noah Hogan, Gary, Ind., Clyde Hogan, Mt. Vernon and Armel Hobbs, Cave in rock, Ill and two sisters, Mrs Cenna Shores, Cave in Rock, Ill and Mrs George Moye, Mt. Vernon.
